S&W M&P vs. Springfield XD

Post  98golf on Tue Dec 13, 2011 5:09 pm

Sorry polymer pistol lovers, but the Glock is the grand daddy of them all and the one that all the others are trying to emulate. However, some manufacturers and designs have come a long way....maybe even surpassed the King.

We have several members that have recently purchased new M&Ps or XDs with several more looking to make a decision soon. Soooo, which is better; the M&P or the XD?

Let the war of words begin!

was between the purchase of these two firearms. I liked the M&P because it more emulated the grip of my walther p99c. however, the sight alignment on the springfield was very natural.

the decision ended up being very easy for me though. I won a M&P 9mm range kit package from a drawing at a range few weeks back.

I have small hands, so the boxy grip of the glock just doesn't feel natural to me.

at a recent range day, saw one member with a springfield and was having many issues and eventually he switched out gun. could very likely have been ammo. however, i have tried 5 different brands ammo on my M&P and it has been flawless... and better yet, it only cost me $20 for the raffle ticket... definately a win-win. LOL.

the springield XDm is still in my sights though... no pun intended.
